After making the move to the Orlando area a few weeks ago I am excited to have been chosen again as a speaker for SQL Saturday #77 in Pensacola, FL. I have loved being involved with all of the SQL Saturday’s that I have spoken at and this one comes with the added bonus of getting me home for a few days.
If you have never been to/heard of SQL Saturday then you need to get on the ball. SQL Saturday is a full day of 100 percent free training from some of the best (and me) in the SQL/BI/Tech world. You can choose from a large schedule of sessions in subjects such as Administration, TSQL, development, performance tuning and Business Intelligence. As a special treat we will have Joe Healy performing a 2 part Windows Phone 7 garage development tract, which I am looking forward to sitting in on.
These events are such a great way for people to expand thier knowledge and get some amazing netorking done. The biggest problem that most people find at a SQL Saturday event is that there are too many sessions they want to attend! We also have a post event party at a local hotspot, so make sure you attend to get some extra face time.
The networking aspect of a SQL Saturday should not be underestimated. You will have the chance to bounce ideas and problems off of your peers as well as some high level experts. You will have plenty of time between sessions and at lunch to mingle and chat up all of the attendees. There will also be recruiters there looking for people to fill job positions and plenty of vendors ready to show off the newest and coolest products they have available.
If you are a veteran of this event, I can’t wait to see you again for the 3rd year. If you are a SQL Saturday newbie then get registered and tell some friends to register as well. For more info on the event (when/where/what/why/how) or to register and secure your spot, head over to the event home page and get the scoop.
